About us

The Green Business Support Organisation (GBSO) promotes the interests of environmental consultants – from the public, private, or voluntary sectors – working in Yorkshire and Humber.

Funded by CO2Sense, the GBSO has over 250 members who use the Organisation to share information on national and regional environmental projects, environmental performance, opportunities and tenders.

Membership allows consultants to network with others in the sector and to access a member directory listing organisations and individuals committed to helping businesses improve their environmental performance.

The aim of the forum is to build the reputation, capacity and standing of the environmental support sector and provide an information hub on regional projects, funding opportunities and environmental performance data.

The members are committed to improving the environmental performance of businesses in the region through providing them with good quality support and advice.

There are currently over 250 members, including local authorities, private, public and freelance consultants, statutory agencies and voluntary organisations. These members are well placed to take advantage of relevant new opportunities and initiatives (such as resource efficiency grants for businesses).
